Accidents happen — that's why we have this cover in place. If the car is damaged, stolen, or in an accident during your rental, the most you'll have to pay is the damage excess which is listed in the vehicle rental agreement, as long as you've stuck to the terms of this agreement (including reporting the incident promptly) and it wasn't caused by anything listed under Prohibited Use inside vehicle rental agreement.
A couple of exceptions: windscreen and tyre damage are charged at actual repair cost and aren't covered by the excess cap. This is an industry standard practice.
Payment: The excess is due within 24 hours of reporting the incident, unless we've agreed to a payment plan in writing. Until it's paid (or a plan is in place), the excess cap doesn't apply — you'd be liable for the full repair cost. We believe its a fair ask.
